Four football/hockey light poles will be removed at the Boort track on Wednesday to prevent them casting shadows over the track.

The light poles will be relocated to the outside of the track as a safety measure, with the shadows having previously been attributed to making horses jump.

The lights will be removed prior to the club’s next meeting on Monday, January 15, as part of a $101,566 relocation, of which $50,733 was funded by the State Government’s Victorian Racing Industry Fund.
