Luke Spano will join Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) as General Manager – Finance, effective February 5, 2018.

Mr Spano is an experienced finance professional, previously holding management positions at Sportsbet, ICC Cricket World Cup and Cricket Australia.

Mr Spano replaces outgoing General Manager – Finance James Cardona, who had been at HRV for nine years.

“I’m looking forward to joining the HRV team and am confident given my experience in previous roles I can play a role in helping the industry move forward in a fiscally sustainable manner,” Mr Spano said.

HRV CEO David Martin said Mr Spano’s vast experience and previous achievements would prove invaluable.

“We’re very pleased to have Luke on board. He has a proven track record in high-level financial management and he will be an important member of the HRV team,” Mr Martin said.
