The biggest name in the trots today Lennytheshark is a $1.30 favourite to continue his winning ways in tonight’s heat four of the 2017 Inter Dominion in Western Australia.

The fastest active pacer in Victoria, whose lifetime mark is 1:49.2, will be long odds-on tonight at Bunbury (8.45pm) after a perfect start to the Inter Dominion series on Friday night at Gloucester Park. But punters can still secure $5 at TAB.com.au for the Victorian champ to win the $1.1million series Grand Final next Friday night.

Lennytheshark defeated Tiger Tara by over 3m in the first round of qualifiers, the Victorian-trained son of Empire Stallions sire Four Starzzz Shark looking to net his second Inter Dominion Grand Final win after his memorable 2015 succes.

Should he win tonight, Lennytheshark will get the chance on Friday night to make it a heats clean sweep before the big dance.

Despite Lennytheshark’s short quote tonight however, rival trainer Shane Tritton believes his charge, Yayas Hot Spot, is perfectly drawn to land the win.

“I think it’s a bit below the radar how he’s travelling at the moment,” Tritton told Perth’s TABtouch Radio.

“His runs leading up have all been exactly what we wanted. Last time we met Lenny he beat us 6m, but we weren’t anywhere close to where we needed to be. I reckon we can make some people a bit nervous tonight with 100m to go.

“We didn’t come all this way to run a place.”

Yayas Hot Spot is $8 with TAB.com.au in the 8.45pm heat.

Meanwhile, everyone seems to be tipping Soho Tribeca to win the fifth heat tonight (9.17pm) from barrier six, the Kim Prentice trained and driven star a $1.20 favourite to beat Chicago Bull ($3.90).

Chicago Bull beat Soho Tribeca in two recent outings and noted quick beginner and leader Ohoka Punter is drawn in gate two, so may elect to try and park the raging favourite. Regardless, Soho Tribeca looks hard to beat following his flawless night-one victory.

The sixth heat will be run at 9.47pm and features Lazarus ($1.45) and Tiger Tara ($2.80) as the key hopes, with the dark horse Victorian rising star San Carlo ($14).

Catch all the action on Sky 2 and Sky 1 tonight, as well as RSN (927am) on radio and online.
