The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a unique 9 race program this Saturday night.

Gambling giant UBET are offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

In a first for the metropolitan harness racing club, all nine races will feature female drivers only!

And some of the best female drivers throughout the country will compete at the Breakfast Creek oval where they will be pitted against the best of the local stars.

World record breaking Kerryn Manning will join the likes of Amanda Turnbull, Kate Gath, Danielle Hill and Queensland born but Perth based Lauren Jones represent the interstate team while the locals are headed by Lola Weidemann, Trista Dixon, Chantal Turpin, Brittany Graham, Kelli Dawson plus Narissa and Dannielle McMullen.

Manning, based at Great Western in Victoria, is the world’s leading female harness racing driver, having won more races than any female of ANY horse racing code.

Some of Manning’s achievements include:

  • First female to win the Victorian Metropolitan and State Drivers’ Premierships
  • First female to be Australia’s leading driver
  • First driver to win more than 300 races in a season

Manning has driven more than 3750 winners to date.

They will compete in the six leg series (the first 6 races) while the remaining races are the choice of owners and trainers.

Generous industry benefactors Kevin and Kay Seymour are the major sponsors of the event, a first for harness racing in the Sunshine State.

The opening race has attracted an even field of 11 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the Seymour Group Lady Drivers Invitation Pace over the sprint distance of 1660m.

A number of speedy performers have drawn ideally including Polished Rocks, Annika Magic, Our Hi Jinx and Munroe.

Others to be considered include Western Blaze, Withalotofluck, Remember Ruby, Lancelot Bromac, Feel The Courage, Written In Red and Markey Oh Markey.

A Quadrella jackpot pool of $10,000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

And a treble jackpot of $5000 is also listed – the treble will be held on races 3, 4 & 5.

UBET have also slated $2000 jackpot trifecta pools on races 3, 4 and 5.
