LADBROKES Australian Pacing Gold graduates have dominated the national pacers’ awards yet again!

Led by recently-retired superstar Smolda, APG eligible stock captured seven of the eight Australian titles.

Along with being crowned Australian Horse of the Year, Smolda was judged Pacer of the Year and the Aged Horse/Gelding Pacer of the Year.

Headed by his Inter Dominion success, Smolda’s victories included the Group One Ballarat and South Australia Cups, while also finishing second in the Miracle Mile and Canadian Club Sprint.

Smolda was bred in Victoria with his career coming to an end with 32 wins and 13 placings from 62 starts for earnings of $2,415,738 making him APG’s richest performer.

In other awards, Vincent – a stablemate of Smolda – is the Three-Year-old Colt/Gelding Pacer of the Year.

Vincent enjoyed a super season, winning seven of his eight starts including the New South Wales Derby and Breeders’ Challenge.

APG eligible winners including Lunimeer as the Two-Year-old Colt/Gelding Pacer of the Year, Nostra Villa as Two-Year-old Filly Pacer of the Year and Petacular as Three-Year-old Filly Pacer of the Year.
