Shane Graham is set for another strong showing on night 3 of the World Driving Championships

Night three of the 2017 World Driving Championship moves to Georgian Downs, a 1000 metre track with another five heats scheduled for decision.  Race broadcaster Sugar Doyle has passed on his thoughts for each WDC event, concentrating on the chances of Australian representative Shane Graham. (The meeting will be conducted Tuesday night in Canada but all times shown are AEST)

Heat 10 – race 6 at Georgian Downs - Shane Graham will drive Romance in Camelot from barrier 11 (Wednesday 10:56am on SKY)

Sugar says ROMANCE IN CAMELOT is always in the hunt and she does fit well against these - leaving from a trailing post. Her last trip, over this Georgian Downs 5/8ths mile track, was a gutsy 3rd place finish in 1:56.1 at a distance of one mile - her fastest race of the summer thus far - so she's now back to where she does show well. *Her stiffest competition likely comes from 1 Shemars Lulu (James MacDonald CAN), 2 Scarlet Saphire (Marcus Miller USA), 3 Lilys Penelope (Bjorn Goop SWE) & 7 Action Royal Grin (Mika Forss FIN).

Heat 11 – race 7 at Georgian Downs – Shane Graham will drive Docs Hoss from barrier 6 (Wednesday 11:17am on SKY)

Sugar says DOCS HOSS has nothing but top 3 finishes throughout his program lines - so he's a huge contender in this one. Likely to come from off the pace and he should keep coming - straight and strong all the way to the finish - he's like that... A win for Graham here would not be a surprise. *Others to consider are 1 Chief Talkalot (Gerhard Mayr AUT), 2 Adamncam (Noel Baldacchino MLT), 10 Idole Duharas (Dexter Dunn NZ) & 11 American Paradise (Bjorn Goop SWE).

Heat 12 – race 8 at Georgian Downs – Shane Graham will drive Gliding Senorita from barrier 1 (Wednesday 11:39am on SKY)

Sugar says GLIDING SENORITA finally draws the rail - after a few outside posts and a trailing spot... She does like to race on or near the lead - so the inside advantage will help this 6YO daughter of Amigo Hall. Already in the winner's circle 8 times in 2017 - she can get there again in this one - after being claimed from her latest. *Also giving some thought to 2 Federal Army (Eirik Hoitomt NOR), 3 Walk The Plank (James MacDonald CAN), 5 Chestnut Schofield (Mark Purdon NZ) & 9 Mandeville (Bjorn Goop SWE).

Heat 13 – race 9 at Georgian Downs – Shane Graham will drive Santannas Gal from barrier 2 (Wednesday 12:00pm on SKY)

Sugar says SANTANNAS GAL appears to enjoy racing over Georgian Downs... Her best finishes have come here from 3 of her last 4 outings. Not much of a fast starter, but she does look like a great finisher - with some snappy final quarter speed on the end of her miles. She can be a solid player with these. *Other possibilities are 1 Mighty Mouse (Bjorn Goop SWE), 5 Nomatterwhen (Rik Depuydt BEL), 6 Michelles Deuce (Marcus Miller USA), 7 Sports Illustrator (Mark Purdon NZ) & 9 Holiday Romance (Dexter Dunn NZ).

Heat 14 – race 10 at Georgian Downs – Shane Graham will drive Hetties Honey from barrier 5 (Wednesday 12:31pm on SKY)

Sugar says HETTIES HONEY is a great cheque getter, but doesn't win many races. She does show a decent record over Georgian this season and she can factor here with a tidy 'covered-up' trip. I like her chances for a minor share and she'll offer good value too. This race appears to be the most wide open WDC event on the card. *Wide open - any one of the 11.
