Night 2 of the WDC will be shown on Sky Racing Tuesday morning in Australia.

The second stop across Canada in the 2017 WDC will be at Mohawk on Monday night.  Race broadcaster Shannon ‘Sugar’ Doyle has passed on his thoughts on each of Shane’s drives on night two.

Heat 6 – Shane Graham will drive Avuncular from barrier 8 (Tuesday 9:50am on SKY)

Sugar says AVUNCULAR is a longshot play showing good early speed, but he is facing many that are much tougher this time out. This horse may elect to race up close, but he will need a much better effort, in the late stages, to be a serious factor here. *The main contenders look like 1 Smoke Monkey (Mika Forss FIN), 5 Windsong Magic (Dexter Dunn NZ), 6 Burnin Money (Noel Baldacchino MLT), 7 Mystery Bet (James MacDonald CAN) & 10 Harper Blue Chip (Gerhard Mayr AUT).

Heat 7 – Shane Graham will drive Grand Seelster from barrier 3 (Tuesday 10:10am on SKY)

Sugar says GRANDE SEELSTER comes in off some half-mile track racing over Grand River. The 9YO has not had a great showing since early June - his last victory - so it's been a while. Another tough road ahead for Graham with a longshot. *The morning line man has this one right - I believe - with 2 Bugger Bruiser (Dexter Dunn NZ), 4 Ourea Nourrir (Eirik Hoitomt NOR) & 6 Dialamara (Mika Forss FIN) as the biggest threats.

Heat 8 – Shane Graham will drive Jusrabit Mean from barrier 7 (Tuesday 10:50am on SKY)

Sugar says JUSTABIT MEAN will be Graham's best shot for a victory at Mohawk. This 6YO daughter of Mach Three should give you decent value - if playing - as she does face tougher competition, but she also shows she can handle the step up in class with her good closing speed. Watch for her late - she could finish up well. *Others to think about are 2 Lights Go Out (Mika Forss FIN), 5 Legal Process (Bjorn Goop SWE), 6 Pretty Hot (Rik Depuydt BEL) & 11 Miss Coco Luck (Mark Purdon NZ).

Heat 9 – Shane Graham will drive Willyorwonthe from barrier 4 (Tuesday 11:10am on SKY)

Sugar says WILLYORWONTHE likely won't... The Mohawk draw was not kind to Graham as he will sit behind 4 longshot plays Monday - all with double-digit morning line odds. This 4YO son of Angus Hall does show good early foot - it's the final stages where he sometimes weakens. That being said - in my mind - this race is the most competitive event of Leg 2 of the WDC. *Wide open here with 1 St James Gate (Marcus Miller USA), 3 Presquille (Gerhard Mayr AUT), 6 Grana Padanno (Eirik Hoitomt NOR), 7 Domitian Hall (Rik Depuydt BEL), 8 Lmc Mass Oak (Dexter Dunn NZ) & 9 Neils Golden Girl (Mark Purdon NZ) all looking like solid plays.
