ANOTHER perfect draw should see handy pacer Maharajah complete a hat-trick at Globe Derby on Saturday night.

The son of Bettors Delight was able to win his last two starts at the troubled venue by leading throughout from the pole for driver Wayne Hill.

To the delight of connections, Maharajah will once again begin from barrier one in the opening event.

Before his pair of recent wins, Maharajah’s previous success was last March when he also came from the pole.

Pleased with the gelding’s form, trainer Heather Stevens is positive Maharajah can continue his winning ways.

“He’s won from the same draw in the last couple of weeks and I can’t see any reason why he won’t do it again,” Stevens said.

“He has improved with each run this time in and is right at his peak.

“He’s going to be hard to run down.”

Another promising type, Whatabro, shapes as the main danger from gate three for veteran horseman Darren Billinger.

Stevens is hoping to ‘bookend’ the meeting, with Mischievous Maggie engaged in the last race.

In what shapes as an even field of five runners, Mischievous Maggie will begin from barrier three.

Hill will take the drive behind the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven.
