Mr Graeme Campbell OAM Elected Independent Chair of HRA

Mr Graeme Campbell OAM was today voted in as the Harness Racing Australia (HRA) Independent Chairman during the 2020 HRA Annual General Meeting.

Mr Campbell has over forty years experience in corporate advisory and recovery services and extensive harness racing experience including as Chairman of Harness Racing New South Wales (2006-2014), Executive Member/Deputy Chair of HRA (2009-2014) and a Director of the New South Wales Harness Racing Club since 2016.

Mr Campbell has also been the recipient of a number of honours including the Order of Australia Medal for services to harness racing, the Dr Ern Manea Gold Medal and the J.P. Stratton Award – the sport's highest honour.

With a strong understanding of commercial and compliance drivers, Mr Campbell has extensive experience across a number of independent board positions and will bring strong leadership and governance to this role.

As per the HRA Rules of Association, Mr Campbell will now resign from his position with the New South Wales Harness Racing Club.
