The Opportunity

HRV is looking for a highly motivated individual for this new and exciting opportunity within the Flemington Head Office to join the Information Technology (IT) team in the newly created role of Systems Administrator.

Reporting to the Technology Manager, the role will be responsible for delivering improved IT infrastructure, create and implement IT policies and procedures and providing a high-quality technical support to the HRV Group.

The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • HRV’s server and virtual environments
  • IT security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, policies and procedures for all HRV IT systems
  • Coordinating the development of an ITSM framework based on ITIL practices
  • Management of all client hardware and software support.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Formal IT qualifications (e.g. MCSE etc.)
  • 5+ years of extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi), cloud and hybrid-cloud technologies
  • 2+ year demonstrated experience administering and management Office 365 and related products
  • A keen interest in working in the harness racing industry

Some travel between HRV Head Office located in Flemington, Tabcorp Park Melton and country clubs will be required. The position holder must possess a current Victorian motor vehicle drivers’ licence. Given the unique nature of the role and the racing industry, some weeknight and weekend work may be required from time to time.
