Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued five (5) charges under the Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) arising out of the conduct of licensed persons at the Mildura race meeting on 6 February 2020.

 

Ken Rogers

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued one (1) charge against licensed driver Ken Rogers under AHRR 231(1)(a) which states:

231.  (1)  A person shall not

      (a)  threaten

anyone employed, engaged or participating in the harness racing industry or otherwise having a connection with it. 

It is alleged that Mr Rogers threatened another licensed person at the Mildura race meeting on 6 February 2020.

 

Kaela Hryhorec

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued two (2) charges against licensed driver Kaela Hryhorec.

Charge one (1) has been issued under the provisions of AHRR 231(2) which states:

231.  (2)  A person shall not misconduct himself in any way.

Charge two (2) has been issued under the provisions of AHRR 231(1)(e) which states:

231.  (1)  A person shall not

      (e)  assault

anyone employed, engaged or participating in the harness racing industry or otherwise having a connection with it. 

It is alleged that Ms Hryhorec engaged in a verbal altercation, and assaulted another licensed person, at the Mildura race meeting on 6 February 2020.

 

Michelle Phillips

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued two (2) charges against licensed driver Michelle Phillips.

Charge one (1) has been issued under the provisions of AHRR 231(2) which states:

231.  (2)  A person shall not misconduct himself in any way.

Charge two (2) has been issued under the provisions of AHRR 231(1)(e) which states:

231.  (1)  A person shall not

      (e)  assault

anyone employed, engaged or participating in the harness racing industry or otherwise having a connection with it. 

It is alleged that Ms Phillips engaged in a verbal altercation, and assaulted another licensed person when retaliating to that person’s actions, at the Mildura race meeting on 6 February 2020.

 

These charges will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.
