HRSA is pleased to announce that Hygain have come on board to support the 2020 Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale to be held at the Magic Millions complex at Morphettville racecourse on March 15.

Hygain have agreed to sponsor the yearling parade, conducted prior to the sale, by providing generous amounts of their product to the connections of the best presented colt/gelding and best presented filly.

Hygain are great sponsors of, not only harness racing throughout Australia, but also many other initiatives assisting those connected with the sport, such as the active promotion of the Team Teal program; the Gavin Lang Fundraiser and Sportsman's Night at Melton.

This year’s yearling parade will commence at 10am with renowned breeding expert John Coffey being tasked with inspecting the 23 colts/geldings and the 13 fillies to narrow down a winner in each sex.

The winner of each division will be presented with a ribbon and product from Hygain.

When asked what he looks for when judging yearlings, Mr Coffey replied “in a word - athletic” John added “I look for a horse with a kind eye, nice head and good legs of course”

In addition to the awards for the yearlings, the best presented handler will also be recognised by receiving a trophy, sponsored by the Beach Pit Restaurant & Café at Brighton, and their soon to be opened store at Hollywood Plaza.

For those interested in attending the sale, the first yearling will enter the sales ring at Magic Millions complex at Morphettville at 12.05pm where auctioneer Simon Jones will strut his talents with the gavel.

Catalogues for the 2020 Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale can be obtained from HRSA, Globe Derby Park, all SA Country race tracks or by clicking here
