Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria. We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders.  We run approximately 450 race meetings per year at 28 tracks throughout Victoria. 

The Opportunity

HRV has an exciting opportunity within the Flemington Head Office as the Customer Service Representative – Licensing reporting into the Customer Service Team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a high level of attention to detail and passion for helping others. This role will ensure that HRV delivers a high quality level of customer service to customers/participants of the Victorian harness racing industry.

The Customer Service Representative – Licensing will be responsible for coordinating Victorian harness racing licence renewals and new licence applications in an accurate and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers on a daily basis, responding to their questions and guiding them to the appropriate service.
  • Ensure that licence renewals and new licence applications are processed and approved in accordance with the rules of racing and administered in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with coordination, developing, and implementation of annual on-line training modules for licensed participants as part of annual license applications.
  • Assist with other Customer Service department function such as registrations, futurities, reception and payments.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in work processes and procedures and implement changes in workplace practices. 

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School completion certificate required (tertiary qualification in a business related field preferred)
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, 2+ years, working within a customer service focused role
  • Ability to build relationships, provide guidance and assistance and communicate effectively with Stakeholders and
  • Demonstrated computer skills and literacy.
