This Saturday night sees the running of the inaugural TAB Graduation Championship Final at Globe Derby Park.

Runners have been competing in qualifying heats from June 15 to July 15. The eleven horses which accumulated the most points over the heats have come together to contest the $17,000 Final.

The increased prizemoney for this Final has been made available through the generosity of TAB.

In addition, David Harding as the trainer of Thisexcusebetterbeit, the individual horse in the final with the most points accumulated in the qualifying heats will receive a Bonus of $1,000.

Thisexcusebetterbeit is likely to start favourite in the event, although is faced with a tough assignment from the outside of the second row. The mare will be partnered by comeback Queen, Danielle Hill. Hill is returning to driving on Saturday after a lengthy stint on the sidelines due to injury and victory in this race would be a great return to the sulky.

She is likely to meet with stiff opposition however, from the likes of Dusky Assassin and Golden Jaylet, amongst others.

Other highlights on the night include the running of the Lonsdale Sand & Metal Sires Produce for 3YO Colts & Geldings and the Newspot Motor Group Mermaid Stakes for 3YO Fillies.
