WARNING- BOVA OMEPRAZOLE 100MG/ML INJECTION
THE Harness Racing New South Wales Integrity Department are aware that the Anabolic Androgenic Steroid Testosterone has been confirmed in a bottle of Omeprazole 100mg/mL injection manufactured by BOVA Australia.
Omeprazole is used for the management of gastric ulcers.
Further work is being undertaken to identify the source of the testosterone which is not used in the manufacture of Omeprazole and is not kept on BOVA’s premises.
Until further notice, trainers and veterinarians are advised to IMMEDIATELY STOP the dispensing and use of this product.
The HRNSW Integrity Department will provide a further update once any additional information becomes available.
