Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria. We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders.  We run approximately 450 race meetings per year at 28 tracks throughout Victoria. 

The Opportunity

HRV has an opportunity within Tabcorp Park in Melton as the Grounds Maintenance Attendant reporting into the Tabcorp Park Racing Manager. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all external lawns and gardens and the horse stable area. Along with the undertaking general maintenance and assisting in the preparation of the venue for trials and race meeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining all external areas including lawn areas, garden beds and inside of race track.
  • Maintaining the horse stabling area.
  • Undertake general maintenance tasks.
  • To assist in the preparation of the venue for the conduct of trials and race meetings.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School completion certificate required (tertiary qualification in a horticulture related field preferred)
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, 2+ years, working with a racing venue (preferred).
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers/stakeholders at all times.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Possess (or willingness to obtain) a medium rigid heavy vehicle licence
