Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria. We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders. We run approximately 450 race meetings per year at 28 tracks throughout Victoria.
The Opportunity
HRV has an exciting opportunity within the Flemington Head Office as the Accounts Officer reporting into the Administration Manager.
The position will ensure that the accounts payable and receivable functions for HRV are delivered to a high standard and ensure robust internal controls are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- End to end processing of accounts payable transactions for facilities including Tabcorp Park (Melton) and regional harness racing Clubs in Victoria
- Processing AR invoices for regional harness racing Clubs in Victoria
- Processing of Corporate Credit Cards
- Provide effective customer service to ensure queries are addressed and regional harness racing Club invoices are raised in a timely and responsive manner
- Communicate with vendors to ensure account issues are addressed, reconciled and resolved in a timely manner
About You
- Essential Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated relevant experience, 3+ years, working in an accounts payable / receivable function
- Strong organisational & time management skills
- Excellent computer skills (prior experience working with document capture software and workflow automation tools will be advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and
- Ability to build relationships, provide guidance and assistance and communicate effectively with Stakeholders
