Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria.  We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders.  We run around 450 race meetings per year at 26 tracks throughout Victoria. 

The Opportunity

HRV’s integrity unit is responsible for overseeing the reputation and integrity of harness racing in Victoria.  The Senior Information & Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for establishing and managing systems and processes for information collection, collation, analysis and dissemination within HRV in carrying out investigative functions under the Australian Harness Racing Rules.

This is an established position with the successful candidate looking after both race day and non-race day integrity functions as required.

Reporting to the Investigations and Compliance Manager, responsibilities include: 

  • Produce & develop Intelligence data and facilitate processes for information gathering
  • Prepare and deliver project reports and Intelligence briefs
  • Case management & intelligence database administration
  • New protocol and policy development
  • Develop and maintain protected source register
  • Investigations strategy development

About you

  • Background in intelligence analysis
  • Knowledge of Australian rules of harness racing, equine drug use & analytical procedures
  • Well-developed Investigative techniques
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and writing skills
  • Ability to follow strict procedural guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience preparing project reports and information briefs

A genuine desire to work and make a contribution to protecting the integrity of the racing industry is a must.

The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete background screening checks.
