Warning regarding products containing altrenogest.
Following on from an earlier QRIC notice, Trainers are advised that testing of batches of oral and injectable forms of products containing altrenogest by Racing Victoria’s Integrity Services Department has confirmed that all such products may contain trenbolone and/or trendione.
Trenbolone and trendione are permanently banned substances with the potential for prolonged detection times.
The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission advises Trainers that the use of all altrenogest-containing products should be discontinued immediately until further notice.
