Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued a charge against licensed trainer-driver Kate Attard under Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 243 which states:
A person employed, engaged or participating in the harness racing industry shall not behave in a way which is prejudicial or detrimental to the industry.
It is alleged that Ms Attard’s conduct was detrimental to the harness racing industry in that the horses ‘Lis Mara Shadow’ and ‘Life Sign Shadow’ were given away for rehoming in July 2017 without the owners’ consent.
The charge will be heard by the HRV Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board on a date to be fixed.
