Due to concerns regarding the heavy track and loose material at this meeting the track will be graded prior to the next race meeting to alleviate any further issues.

 

Ballarat – 9 September 2017

RACE 1 – DNR LOGISTICS PACE

David Murphy, trainer/driver of Itscitemint, has reported that the gelding pulled up fine subsequent to the race. Mr Murphy added that blood tests were conducted on Itscitemint with the results to be known in the coming days and that the gelding would be given a fortnight’s break.

 

Geelong – 14 September 2017

RACE 7 – RAY BECKLEY NIGHT OCT 18 CLAIMING PACE

Darren Bradley, trainer of Goodtime Rusty, has reported that the gelding pulled up fine subsequent to the race. Mr Bradley added that Goodtime Rusty recovered well after the performance and the gelding had worked well since the race. Goodtime Rusty is engaged at Cranbourne on 23 September 2017.

 

Tabcorp Park Melton – 15 September 2017

RACE 2 – PALM LAKE RESORT TROT

Anton Golino, trainer of Justines Amore NZ, has reported that the mare pulled up fine subsequent to the race. Mr Golino added that Justines Amore NZ was scoped subsequent to the race which revealed the presence of mucus and dirt in the mare. Mr Golino further added that he was disappointed with the performance of Justines Amore NZ and that the mare had been retired.

RACE 6 – EMPIRE STALLIONS VICBRED PLATINUM HOME GROWN CLASSIC (3YO COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (GROUP 2)

Emma Stewart, trainer of Best Of Beauty, has reported that the blood tests conducted on the colt revealed a bit of inflammation that indicated Best Of Beauty to be suffering from a viral infection. Ms Stewart added that the colt would be given a couple of weeks off.

RACE 10 – EMPIRE STALLIONS VICBRED PLATINUM COUNTRY SERIES B FINAL

Josh Aiken, trainer/driver of The Defiant, has reported that the horse pulled up fine subsequent to the race. Mr Aiken added that keeping The Defiant a horse was affecting his ability to perform well in races so the decision was made with the horse’s owner to geld The Defiant.
