2017 PETstock  Ballarat Pacing Cup

BDTC are wishing to advise the connections of horses intending to enter the Cup of some additional information which will assist them both at the barrier draw function and on Cup night.

BARRIER DRAW FUNCTION

  • Cup nominations to close on Monday 16th of January 2017 at noon with HRV Racing Office.
  • Acceptances taken at 4:00PM the same day (automatic unless withdrawn).
  •  HRV Racing Office to confirm final field with BDTC at approximately 5.30pm.
  • The official Cup Barrier Draw function will start at 6.30pm with a tour of PETstock Headquarters. The Club will then conduct a live barrier draw at approx. 7.30pm in “The Ivy” function room at the Provincial Hotel Ballarat.
  • Connections intending to nominate for the Cup need to advise BDTC (see below for contact details) of their intentions to be present in person at the barrier draw function to draw their own barrier. If not, they must nominate a designated person to do so on their behalf otherwise a BDTC designated person (guest) would draw the barrier on their behalf.
  • The function, via invite only (including connections of Cup runners) will be a cocktail type function (fingerfood) and feature the HRV Goodform Panel who will preview the Cup and other feature events on the night plus any other Trots news.
  • The Club also intends on broadcasting live on facebook throughout the night.

DRESS STANDARDS CUP NIGHT PRESENTATIONS

  • The Club also reminds connections that it has a strict dress standard for all Cup night presentations.
  • Owners, trainers and stablehands will not be allowed access to the presentation area unless properly attired. This includes access to the track for winning photographs.
  • For men the minimum expectation is a collared shirt, pants and enclosed footwear. Ladies are required to dress of a similar standard with enclosed footwear.
