Handicapping

1.     For the purposes of arriving at an assessment for horses winning races in New Zealand and subsequently racing in Australia the Rules of Handicapping of the Australian Harness Racing Council shall be observed.

2.     For the purposes of arriving at an assessment for horses winning races in Australia and subsequently racing in New Zealand horses shall be assessed as if their winning performances had taken place in New Zealand under the Rules of Harness Racing New Zealand with full discretionary power to the New Zealand handicapper to combine two or more low prizemoney races in Australia in determining appropriate penalties and assessment.
