Press Release

Mr Ron Casey (Chairman – International Media Awards Committee) from Australia today announced the Awards on Entries submitted to the recent World Trotting Conference held in Sydney, Australia.

Mr Casey commented on the general excellence of entries submitted to the Committee. In doing so, he introduced a new feature of also judging and awarding entries recognition with either a Highly Commended or Commended Status. Whilst the Winning Entries will receive a Commemorative Recognition Plaque to be presented by their Country’s Trotting Association a letter of commendation will be sent to those recognised by the new recognition award categories.

It should be noted that no Awards of Winner have been made in Category 3 (Best Television or Film Advertising/Promotional) and 4 (Best Radio Tape) and Category 7 (Best Poster Promoting Harness Racing).

Mr Casey advised that the Committee’s Recommendations to the Conference would be further considered in light of the Entries Judged for implementation at the next World Conference to be held in Finland in 2001.  The full Judging Results follow.  (click on winner's name to see winning photos and articles)
